Our Lodge is named after Judge Wm. H. Upton. Known as a Masonic scholar, he became Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Washington in 1898. Judge Upton made many significant contributions to Masonry; including his committee report of 1897 on Black Masonry and his efforts as Grand Master to proclaim that Masons of all colors stand as brothers: passing a resolution recognizing Prince Hall Masons in the State of Washington.

Lodge was the two hundred-sixth Lodge chartered in 1915 by the Grand
Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Washington, dedicated to Faith, Hope, and Charity.
